Bill of Rights for Homeschooled Children
As a homeschool alum, standing up for the rights of homeschooled children is incredibly important to me. I had the opportunity to help CRHE with the Bill of Rights for Homeschooled Children, a statement that details how homeschooled children’s academic, physical, mental, and social wellbeing can best be supported by their parents and communities. I helped write and edit parts of the bill and spearheaded its digital marketing campaign.
I created the CTA that generated more than 500 email subscribers.

I led the project’s social media campaign, creating a strategy, designing graphics, and writing social copy.

#HomeschoolChat
To promote the Bill of Rights, I created #HomeschoolChat, a biweekly Twitter chat by homeschool alumni, for homeschool alumni. I host and develop the content for each chat. Since its launch in summer 2021, #HomeschoolChat has expanded to discuss a wide range of topics relevant to the homeschool alumni community — everything from science experiments to adoption — and averaged 110,000 impressions per chat in its first year.

Social media and content strategy
I identified CRHE’s need for consistent messaging and content across all platforms and developed calendars and strategies to bring that vision to life. I created and maintain CRHE’s social media strategy documents, audience personas, and style guides, and I direct content creation and strategy for CRHE’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, newsletters, and other digital products. Since I started managing CRHE’s social media accounts, I increased average monthly Twitter impressions tenfold (25,000 per month to 250,000 per month), Twitter followers by 60%, and Facebook followers by 30%.

Press releases and blog content
When the occasion calls for something a little longer than a tweet, I write and edit press releases and blog posts to help CRHE reach wider audiences with its message.
